During its July 2020 Special Session, the Oregon Legislature adopted a comprehensive statute fully incorporating the ICWA into Oregon’s dependency statute. The presenters were part of the work group that drafted the legislation and will discuss why this legislation was necessary for the implementation of HB 4214.
