Examine private foundation costs and benefits to determine if a private foundation is the right choice for your client. Take a look at the definition of qualified religious organizations and the advantages for such entities under the federal income tax code. See how civil rights laws apply to religious and faith-based organizations. A case study of the Northwest Housing Alternatives campus development will be explored, while the legislative update on Oregon’s Nonprofit Corporation Act includes changes to the conflict-of-interest rules and Attorney General oversight provisions.
