This seminar will introduce lawyers to the growing field of preventive law. Using the preventive medicine analogy, the purpose of preventive law is to guide businesses on the front end to minimize business and legal exposures in the future. This is done primarily through contract negotiation and development, managing insurance relations as well as claims and litigation, regulatory compliance strategies, and performing due diligence when appropriate. Broadly explore each of these elements to help your business clients better understand and manage risks, and review best practices to avoid pitfalls when providing these services to clients.
